Development of our new Heavy Machining and Nuclear Fabrication facility in Blackburn continues to make excellent progress, representing a significant investment in expanding our manufacturing capabilities and supporting the future growth of the business.
Another major milestone has now been reached, with work underway to install the third machine at the site. The donations have been completed and installation is progressing well, bringing us another step closer to increasing the facility’s machining capacity. Once operational, this latest addition will further enhance our ability to deliver large-scale, high-precision machining projects for customers across a range of sectors.
At the same time, we are please to announce that the first two machines have now been fully installed, commissioned and are already supporting live production.
The first machine, the Correa Fox M, provides exceptional performance for large-scale precision machining applications. Complementing this is the Correa Axia, equipped with a 20-tonne rotary table, enabling us too machine large, more intricate components with greater flexibility and accuracy.
Together, these machines are already delivering improvements in productivity, machining capability and overall operational efficiency. This investment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to developing our in-house expertise and providing customers with a comprehensive, high-quality manufacturing solution.
Designed to serve industries such as nuclear, defence and heavy engineering, the new facility will play a key role in supporting increasingly complex, high-specification projects. Through continued investment in advanced technology and infrastructure, we are ensuring that our capabilities continue to evolve to meet the demands of both current and future customers.
